July School Holiday Diary Dates!!! Each Saturday and Wednesday during the holidays between 10am-2pm there’s loads of FREE winter fun in the Henley Square Pavilion. Gets underway,  Saturday July 8 – head here for the full program.

There’ll be great cooking demonstrations and kids classes with Food According to Bree and Henley Square Foodland, wondrous winter crafts, face painting and delicious fairy floss!

Cooking demos for adults too!

The pavilion itself will be a sight to see dressed with fairy-tale inspired snowflakes, maple tree, giant silver lanterns and stunning One Rundle Trading Co. installations!

School Holiday activity – Monday July 10.

In preparation for the ‘Kites, Shells & Sand’ event on Friday July 14th at Henley Beach South, come & make & decorate your very own personalised kite.

Free to participate, all equipment supplied, only $8 for your kite which you can take home.

Easy for all ages to join in & you get to take your creation home to keep & fly.

WHERE: Henley & Grange Community Centre, 196A Military Rd Henley Beach.
Parking available, free WIFI, toilets, walking distance to Henley Sq cafes & shops, other kites will be available too purchase on the day.

Friday July 14!

Bring the kids down to Henley South Esplanade in front of the Henley Hotel at the end of Henley Beach Road for a feast for their senses. A range of activities will be on offer to make the most of a winters day in the great outdoors.

– Come fly a kite, come make a kite
– Walk a mandala
– Make some mosaic art
– Beach combing
– Nature scavenger hunt
– Enjoy some seaside tunes

Bring a picnic or grab some takeaway from any of the local traders along Henley Beach Rd on your way. Coffee shops within walking distance & toilets nearby for your convenience.

A ramp is on the esplanade along with a newly built shelter that will be utilised. The ramp leads down to the beach for pram & wheelchair access. We have thought of everyone so that many people can come out & enjoy a winter beach day.

Many of the shops, restaurants and cafes in Henley Beach will be exhibiting a variety of art during this year’s South Australian Living Artists Festival. And a visit to the beach can be just gorgeous in winter,  so visit Henley Beach for a stroll and enjoy the artwork, a meal, a coffee, a browse or a drink.

 

 

Saturday August 26, meet renowned artist Emma Hack at One Rundle Trading Henley Beach, for an Artist Talk and a glass of Oliver Taranga’s wine. 5-6pm.

The official opening will be at The Ramsgate Hotel on Monday August 7. From approx 7pm, some of our SALA venues will be open, some with their artists present, for their own opening, and special viewing, please come along.
